I spend a lot of time and money buying and reading comics. Most of the time I'm happy with my choices, sometimes not. I'm hoping, that with my reviews on what I've read, I might spare someone else dissapointment. I'll read anything, but I can't afford everything. If there's something you'd like for me to read, let me know. If you take the time to read this, please, take the time to let me know what you think. I may not agree with you, or you may not agree with me. But, so what. That's life.

GeNext United #3 - Marvel
I appreciate what Chris Claremont is trying to do here, but . . when push comes to shove . . this is still just an X-Men story. Different X-Men, sure . . progeny, but the basic premise is still there. He's added a twist though by taking them to India. There we have local hero's, mutants maybe, that are taking on the names and the powers of their gods. Right now they're working with Sati and Skanda to fight Kalima, and her demonic Ravarati, who seem to be working in concert with Sophie Von Doom. However, with Kalima and Sophie we find out there may be more than just a working association. When the kids find Sophie's lab . . they're trying to find evidence of her involvement in the robot attack on the city . . it seems as if Sophie and Kalima become one when she goes to stop them. So Oli, who's got Gambit's and Rogue's powers, decides to absorb some of Sati's powers. The result is spectacular, and all of his teammates are instantly transported away from Sophie/Kalima. Where? We don't know yet. Anyways, I like the first series, and I want to get in to this one. But right now it seems that Chris is busy creating alternate universes for the X-Men. This is one possible future for the team and their kids. And then X-Men Forever picks up right where Chris left off some 18 years ago. Isn't that funny to think about . . Chris molded and shaped the X-Men, and then left, before some of the people that are reading it now were even born. Anyways, Chris has some great help on this series with Jon Boy Meyers on pencils. His style gives this book a good feel. I like the book. I really do. And I like the characters. I just don't think that there's anything that's all that different that makes it stand out. But . . maybe that's just me.
