Smallville - Warrior - Season 9 Episode 12 - CW

I thought that this was a nice upbeat episode of Smallville. In it, a young boy steals a rare comic, the origin of Warrior Angel, at the Metropolis Comic Book Convention. As it turns out, this character was actually stolen from an idea by Zatarra. So, when the book was printed, he cursed it. Unfortunately for him . . someone realized the importance of it and sealed it immediately. It's never been opened or read. Which is part of the reason why this kid just couldn't resist. Of course the guy who owns the comic shop knows how interested he is in it, and does taunt him a bit. Anyways, the curse was that whomever read it would go through the same metamorphosis as the Warrior Angel character. So . . bing, bang, boom . . the boy becomes a super-hero. And of course . . the first person to see him is Chloe. Chloe ends up trying to help the kid, not realizing how young he actually is. At first she just sees him as another super-hero out there. What could it hurt to have 1 more? Clark gets involved because of the human-interest story . . the boys mother has filed a missing person's report, and they have video of him actually stealing the book. Shortly after that is when Zatanna pops up. She's trying to retrieve all these cursed items of her father's. I love the interaction between Zatanna and Clark. Especially considering that she's crushing on him, major. Plus it makes Lois get jealous and insecure. Neither of which she's used to feeling. Anyways, long story short, Zatanna breaks the curse. Which eventually turns the Warrior Angel into his arch nemesis. He almost kills Chloe as it's all happening. But then things get back to normal. I also enjoyed the interaction between Lois and Clark. I'm glad that thier relationship is finally progressing. And . . there's also a moment between Chloe and Oliver. Huh? Who knew? Like I said, after the last episode, Justice . . this one was a lot more upbeat. And there were a few touching moments too. All in all, a pretty good episode.
