I spend a lot of time and money buying and reading comics. Most of the time I'm happy with my choices, sometimes not. I'm hoping, that with my reviews on what I've read, I might spare someone else dissapointment. I'll read anything, but I can't afford everything. If there's something you'd like for me to read, let me know. If you take the time to read this, please, take the time to let me know what you think. I may not agree with you, or you may not agree with me. But, so what. That's life.

Wolverine #78 - Marvel
Daken is really messing with Norman's head now. The recent video that was taken of him slaughtering some 'masked vigilantes', right in front of a child and his grandmother, has been anonymously released on the web. Which forces Norman into damage-control mode. First he goes after the girl who uploaded the file on a public computer. Through surveillance video it's pretty easy to find her. But before Norman's goons can do anything, Daken convinces her to run across the street to him . . right in front of a bus. I think Norman knows that he's behind it, but he can't prove it. Plus . . he doesn't know why he's doing it . . what he's trying to gain, or manipulate. So, he manipulates a 'closed-hearing' into suddenly becoming open to the press. He then hires some mercenaries to go in and kill the person being prosecuted . . Aryan. He also arranges their escape route and hide-out. It's clear that he's setting them up. Which becomes apparent when he sends Daken in to take them out. But he doesn't want him to kill them. He wants Daken to show the public that he can be 'noble and heroic'. However, I think the person he's actually setting up is Daken. He's got a firearms expert, an expert at hand-to-hand combat, and an enhanced interrogation specialist. And a couple others. Daken just thinks he's going after a couple of armed thugs. I have a feeling that he's going to seriously underestimate these guys. More than anything else that's gone on during this Dark Reign thing, I'm really enjoying the power-struggle and manipulations between Norman, Daken and Bullseye. They're all huge a-holes, and it's been interesting to see who's going to cut who's throat. Daniel Way and Marjorie Liu write this story, with Stephen Segovia on the art. We also got a nice Greg Land cover. I like seeing Daken in this title . . since we have 4 or 5 other Wolverine titles out there. This one's . . unique.
