Well . . Kaizen Gamorra has brought the full wrath of his nation down upon the Authority . . and the Carrier. "Dismantle the Carrier and recover everything we can use. Especially . . especially the exotic technology." Jack puts up a good fight against Cybernary. But eventually she takes him down. But I'm kind of wondering if he didn't go down a little too easy. We also find out that Rendlesham has some secrets of their own. Angie and Swift are fighting other beings from Gamorra, in different parts of the Carrier when the Golden, from Rendlesham, seem to come to their aid. However, they quickly find out . . "Oh, I'm not here to help you. I'm here to help myself." It turns out Rendlesham is the UK's answer to Area 51. They've found a 'door', but they don't know how to use it yet. They want to explore the different dimensions of the Bleed. But so far nothing, or anybody, that they've sent through has come back. So they want the Engineer's help. In order to ensure her cooperation . . they shove Swift through the door. Also Midnighter is having his own problems. He's heading to the Scottish border . . for some reason, but as he approaches . . the horizon on the other side of the river looks like paradise. He tries to circumvent the large guards at the bridge, but he ends up in the river. Then when he tries to escape on a boat . . he's quickly descended upon by a fiery dragon. "Oh, you have got to be f^&#*ng kidding me!" It appears we have several story-lines coming out of this book. They'll either be coming together in the next issue or two, or . . going in completely different directions. Either way, it looks like the Authority is going to have a lot of crap to deal with in the immediate future. An interesting story by Abnett & Lanning. Also the art this issue is shared by Drew Johnson and Simon Coleby. I'm sorry. I kind of sped through that story. But the really exciting part comes after. We get a preview of Planetary #27. It's been almost 3 years since #26 came out and from the preview it looks like Warren Ellis and John Cassaday haven't missed a beat. This story involves a time machine. It's billed as the final, over-sized issue in Warren and John's fantastic journey. It's scheduled to come out October 7th. I can't wait.
