I spend a lot of time and money buying and reading comics. Most of the time I'm happy with my choices, sometimes not. I'm hoping, that with my reviews on what I've read, I might spare someone else dissapointment. I'll read anything, but I can't afford everything. If there's something you'd like for me to read, let me know. If you take the time to read this, please, take the time to let me know what you think. I may not agree with you, or you may not agree with me. But, so what. That's life.

Superman: World of New Krypton #7 - DC
With this issue . . Kal-El becomes the General of the Kryptonian Army . . in Zod's place. And, he's appointed the position by Zod himself. I still think there's something up with this whole thing with Zod though. I don't know if he's feigning his weakness, or if it's all part of some big master plan, but . . something is going on there. Anyways, Kal returns from Earth with Ral-Dar and finds Commander Gor trying to excite the council into war. That's when Zod conveniently steps in and voices his opinion. So Kal's got that whole thing to worry about. Plus, he has a team out in space recovering one of Saturn's moons. I guess they figure that Saturn has enough that losing one won't interfere with it's continued existence. Anyways, in order to complete the environmental cycle, and give New Krypton oceans, they need an orbiting body to create a gravitational pull. However, while they're out there doing that, they're attacked by Thanagarians. We don't really know why. However, Kal gets a couple of squads together to go out and help them. The tide quickly turns, but . . they also lose control of the moon. It's now on a collision coarse with New Krypton. I like this book. I like the insight that we're gaining into the Kryptonian culture and ideals. I don't think that this new world will be abided to stay in our own system forever . . eventually they'll have to move it or something. But it's interesting to see how it all unfolds. Greg Rucka and James Robinson are doing a great job with this story. I'm starting to understand why they needed 15 issues to complete the whole thing. There's a lot of stuff going on here, and a plethora of characters to explore. Great covers this issue by Gary Frank and Bryan Talbot. But the real star of this book is Pete Woods. He's doing a fantastic job on the interiors. He's really given this book, and these characters a good feel. He's definitely made it his own. I'm a big Superman fan. So I'm glad there's 3, or more books every month. But I'm starting to wonder . . where are we going after this?
