Judd Winick and Mark Bagley handle the creative chores for this issue. While I like and appreciate their work, I really can't wait until next issue when Tony S Daniel comes back on board. He's going to be writing and drawing the series. It's going to be fantastic! This issue wraps up the suspicions that Two-face has had about Batman's identity. He doesn't know who he is, although I think he suspects Nightwing or Robin, but . . he does know that someone is filling in for him, or has replaced him. The things he noticed are . . Batman is currently more picture friendly . . media whore is the words he uses . . Batman is smiling more, and he's lighter on his feet. He comes off the ground more than he used to. So last issue he breaks into the Bat-cave to confront Batman when he returns. In the beginning of the issue he appears to have Dick on the ropes. But he's staying true to his mission and isn't giving up any information . . "I AM BATMAN!!" Harvey tries to talk away around it over and over again, coming from every angle he can think of . . but Dick holds up his end of the commitment. Finally, Alfred sees what's going on and shoots Dick with a couple of shots of adrenaline. More than enough, actually. Dick ends up taking down Two-face, and in the process convinces him that he is Batman . . he's just changed a little bit. Harvey does bring up a good point though. The security on the cave is nowhere near what it was when Batman was in charge. Most of that is because they aren't here very much anymore. So Dick and Alfred decide to get the rest of the stuff out and take it to the Wayne Foundation. They're going to leave the cave dark and empty like Bruce would've wanted it. On Harvey's way to prison his transport is hi-jacked by Black Mask. He offers Harvey an option, 'Join me or leave town. If you don't leave town . . then you're dead.' Harvey's response is . . 'It looks like I'll be taking a long trip.' Also as they're emptying out the cave Dick finds a data key under one of the trophy cases. Apparently it's got information on there about one of Bruce's cases . . the death of Dick's parents. Like I said, I think Judd and Mark did a great job with this story-line. But I can't wait to see Tony's stuff. Plus, Mark is moving over to the JLA, so that should be equally as impressive. Batman is dead! Long live the Batman!
