X-Factor #20 - Marvel

This issue, Pietro's plan starts to unravel around him. He's using his connection to the Terrigen crystals, to give powers back to mutants who lost them. But they're unstable. The recipients don't know that. But, Pietro does. But he ain't sayin' nothin. Well X-factor is marching on his home, because the rogue group X-Cell have aligned themselves with him. They're all hellbent because Peitro has convinced them that it was the Govt. that somehow took away all of the Mutant's powers. Of course we know the truth. And so does Pietro. Anyways there starts to be a fight, but then the members whom he gave their powers back, start to heat up and explode. So the other 3 escape to the Brimstone dimension, because it's the only place where they think they might be safe. Well . . . safe isn't the right word. Maybe . . . in less danger? It's close. Anyways, during this whole process Pietro has been storing up some of his energy in Rictor. He doesn't want to harm Rictor. So he's been doing it in bite-size pieces. When Rictor sees what's happened to the other mutants, he gets upset and with the residual power that he has, he shakes the crystal out of Pietro, breaking his connection to them. We also find out this issue that Layla isn't a mutant. So what is she? Well . . . they can't give us all the information at once now. Can they? Apparently we have a new regular artist now . . . Khoi Pham. With this one, I think he's done the last 3 issue. That makes for artist . . . oh I don't know . . . 7 or 8 now for these first 20 issues. That's insane. I don't understand why they have such a hard time tying down a regular artist to this book. Well . . . I guess it doesn't matter now. Because they have one that's done 3. Whoo-eee he's on a streak. That really is my biggest complaint about this book. Because I love the characters. So now we'll just have to see how long Khoi sticks around. And maybe . . . I won't have anything to complain about.
