Wolverine Origins #23 - Marvel

This issue ended . . . really the only way it could. But . . I'll get to that in a bit. Last issue . . actually the last 2 . . . we've seen Deadpool just pushing Wolverine to the edge. There's been a hit taken out on Logan, and Wade's accepted the contract. But I kind of have a feeling that there's more to it than just that. But if there is . . we don't find anything out this issue. After 2 issues of fighting, and shooting, and slashing, and Wade's bad jokes . . at the end of last issue, he finally pushed Logan in to a berserker rage. I mean, Logan was pretty pissed the whole time, but he just hadn't quite gotten that far. I think mainly because the whole time he's fighting Wade . . inside . . he's probably wondering,"Just why the h#$@ is this a@#$&^e doing this?" So I don't think he was really in to it . . in to it . . the whole time. You know what I mean? But now . . now he's got Deadpool in his sights. It's actually kind of funny. Logan slashes at Wade. Wade, thinking he missed, laughs and points his gun at Wolverine's head. But when he goes to pull the trigger . . . he looks down and he has no fingers. "Ah crap. I really needed those." So it's really kind of funny when he continues to try to spar with Logan, but he can't hold on to anything. This whole issue is brought to us from Wade's perspective. Basically, he's thinking and talking to himself. The only thing I don't really understand is . . . he's thinking and he says he has plans, and then we get the flash of a room with Captain America's uniform spread across a bed. I don't really know what that was all about. They keep going at it, until, eventually, they get to that point where they have to get up close and personal. Wolverine pops his claws into each side of Wade's torso . . puncturing his lungs and aorta. Wade holds his gun under Logan's chin and shoots up. The final page is both of them standing there, in each other's arms . . . dead. Now obviously they both have healing factors, but . . this is still an awkward situation. We'll have to wait until next issue though, to see how it finishes up. A great book, brought to us by the usual team of Daniel Way, Steve Dillon and Simone Bianchi. Props to all.
